Yoga has been used for feeling good and optimizing health for millennia, but recently many more people are turning to yoga for its health benefits. 

On the surface, it could be said that the breathing techniques bring the benefits of added oxygen into the bloodstream, and subsequently to the entire body - stretching keeps the muscles healthy and limber - and the energy techniques may boost and balance the electrical aspects of the body.   But most practitioners think there is even more to it, involving yet undiscovered energies. 

In any case, most people just feel great when they practice yoga daily. Just ask anyone who practices, or has practiced yoga.
